Hyderabad : Days after renowned dance choreographer Shiva Shankar master passed away, legendary Sirivennela Sitaramasastry has sadly breathed his last.

“Noted Tollywood lyricist Sri Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry garu passed away this afternoon at 4.07 PM. He died of Lung Cancer related Complications. Sri Sirivennela was admitted to KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad, on 24th November with Pneumonia. He was put on ECMO to support his lungs in ICU and was under close observation.” The medical bulletin read.

Sirivennela Sitaramasastry is aged 66 and he has been battling lung cancer for the past few years.

He has garnered eleven state Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards South for his lyrical works. He has penned lyrics for over 3000 songs until 2020.
